Every living organism has a habitat and a specific role, other wise known as a niche, in his or her environment. My environment is very laid back and relaxed, quiet and serene. I live in a three-bedroom, two story house, close to the woods. I often see animals like deer, bunnies and squirrels. Within my habitat, I live with my family, my Mom, Dad, brother and pets: my dog Twinkie, and my two cats, Motley and Puddi.
My niche in my environment is to keep my room clean, do my homework when I get home from Soccer practice, get good grades in school and clean around the house when I’m asked to do so. I see my niche changing in the future. When I graduate from high school, I’ll go to college. When I’m at college, I’ll still have to get good grades, but the people I share my habitat with will change. My priorities will be different then they are now. I’ll have to fill up the tank in my car, I won’t be playing soccer anymore and I'll have to clean without my parents telling me to.
At least for this year, I have a similar niche with to my brother. We both have to get good grades, clean up after ourselves and clean up around the house when we are asked. I have a different niche than my parents. My parents niche is to go to work so they can provide for me and my brother, make sure that we have food, clothing and are safe.
